At its annual ceremony, the jury of the Prix Medias Idée Suisse gave out four special prizes and one was awarded for an interview with Joseph S. Blatter and Television Suiss Romande (TSR) on 13 May 2007, shortly before his re-election as FIFA President.

The interview was conducted for the Pardonnez-moi programme, a famous show on the network in which journalist Darius Rochebin poses a series of questions in a face-to-face discussion with his subject. The interview looked at Blatter's character and in particular his childhood in the Haut-Valais, a canton of Switzerland. "It proves that a good interview needs not be about conflict," the official media release said.
The jury was lead by Dominque von Burg, a former editor-in-chief of La Tribune de Genève and made up of Monica Piffaretti, Rainer Stadler (Neue Zürcher Zeitung), Jacques Donzel (ex-Radio Suisse Romande) et Marco Farber (ex-SR DRS).
